Many of us need to be consuming two or more litres a day. Did you know our body is more than 50% water?!? There are so many other benefits to drinking this healthy fluid.
- This magical beverage helps us control our calorie intake by filling us up. Many other liquid beverages add unwanted calories, sugar and fat to our diets. Extra calories will also be burned, by walking to the washroom more frequently! Remember to head to the furthest washroom from your desk to get extra steps in.
- The hydration water provides, gives us more energy to get through the workday.
- Water helps breakdown food so we can absorb more nutrients to stay healthier and illness-free.

2. Always have a fun looking plastic water bottle on your desk, and keep it full. Carry it around with you to all of your meetings. Make a game of trying to consume half the bottle during each meeting.
3. Add natural flavours like lemon, lime, orange, cucumber or herbs to your water a couple of days a week to give you some variety in taste.
4. Drink a full glass of water with lunch, to help control your appetite and give you more energy to make it through the afternoon.
5. Track it! Tracking your water intake may show you how far off you are from the 2 litres a day most of us should be getting. I track my intake in my FitBit app.
