Simply Glide Through Your Workouts With This Fitness Tool!

We all understand exercise has many benefits and it should be done to some extent, every day. To stick with working out for the long term, fitness needs to be fun. I love adding new tools into exercise routines for myself and my clients, so that things stay fresh and new. One of my favourite fitness tools are gliders.

There are a lot of different gliding tools out there. The most durable and versatile glider I’ve found are Core Flytes. Although they’re more expensive than some other gliders out there, I’ve found Core Flytes are the only version that can be used on rubber flooring, which is what I have in my gym.

  1. Add variety and challenge. Gliders make each exercise feel very targeted. You really have to use you muscles to control your range of motion. They add variety and more of a challenge to some common and traditional movements. In my opinion, this is a great fitness tool for more advanced exercisers who have already developed some good muscle strength.
  2. Shorten your workouts. This tool works your cardio and muscular strength simultaneously, so it’s an efficient way to exercise. Because it really targets the working muscles, you feel your muscles burn quite quickly.
  3. Convenient to travel with. Gliders are small and lightweight so they’re great to travel with. They offer you a way to exercise all of your muscles while on vacation, without having to find a gym. You don’t need a lot of space to use them, just the length of your body.

4 Gliders Exercises that Work Your Entire Body

After performing a 3-5 minute warm-up, complete each of these fitness moves for 1 minute straight. After giving yourself a little break, try completing the exercises again to really feel your muscles work!

My Favourite 10 Minute Exercise Program with the Gliders:

  1. Plank Jacks
    Performing this cardio exercise with the Core Flytes on your feet, makes your abs work harder. It’s a great total body cardio move!

2. Hamstring Runners
When you hike your hips high up off the ground during this advanced exercise, you’ll really feel your glutes and hamstring muscles work!

The straighter you’re able to keep your legs during this exercise, the more you’ll feel your abdominal muscles work!

4. Gliding Push-ups
The key to this chest burning exercise, is to move both of your hands in and out at the same time. When you do this, you will feel your chest and shoulder muscles burn!
